Ex Minister Godsday Orubebe disrupt INEC result announcement


The representative of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Presidential Collation Centre, Mr. Godday Orubebe has accused the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attaihiru Jega of bias over his failure to investigate the party protest letter on the election in Kano, Katsina, Jigawa.

Mr. Orubebe noted that while Jega set up a committe to investigate the protest letter of APC on Rivers election, he rejected the letter of PDP on Kano, Jigawa, Katsina and Kadunna.

“Jega threw our letter at us, saying that he will not investigate. Jega cannot be selective, he cannot be tribalist”.

He also shown a collated result across the 36 states and the FCT, which he noted was compiled by Jega and the APC. He added that the result were the same as the one announced by the electoral umpire, questioning how APC got the result when they have not be announced.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old pregnant woman who allegedly stabbed her husband to death during a quarrel over who would emerge winner between the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidates, while voting was on-going , weekend, at Ejigbo area of the state.

Gen.Buhari wins presidential polls in Ogun State


General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress has been announced the winner of the Presidential election in Ogun state.

While making public the results at the commission's secretariat in Ogun state, the state collating officer, Mrs.Duro Oni disclosed that out of the total 559,613 votes casted, Gen. Buhari pulled 308,290 to defeat President Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who pulled 207,950.

She further noted that APC won in 13 local governments while PDP won in 7 out of the 20 local government in the state.

Former Chelsea defender David Luiz has said there is nothing special about Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Speaking with L’Equipe Magazine ahead of his club second leg Champions League round of 16 tie away to Chelsea, the brazilian international said the Portuguese born manager may may be special to many but he is not special to him.

It will be recalled that David Luiz spent three-and-a-half years at Chelsea before making a switch to PSG in a £50million deal.
