Nigerian born Samuel Jack who’s presently pursuing a Masters degree in Information Technology at Accra Institute of Technology in Ghana has launched a new social media application to connect friends, businesses and professionals on one platform.
The App Kolabo8 is accessible to all smart phone users for free, and it enables users to connect and chat with their friends, business associates and family members, share music and videos. It also creates a platform for businesses to advertise their services and products as well.
According to the Business Development Manager of JSS Media Incorporation Mark Dankwa ‘the App offers everything that Facebook and WhatsApp can do but its unique feature is to link professionals and businesses’. ‘It’s a social media app that allows professional and businesses to collaborate with each other on the same platform’ he added.
He equally stated that the app also allows for people to share music and video but they have put in place measures to block pornography. ‘The app is available for all but we reserve the right to block any pornographic material which may be posted by subscriber’s he emphasized.
Dankwa says they have also put in place measures to stop fraudulent subscribers as well.
