Ronaldo overtakes Shakira as world most popular figure on Facebook

Real Madrid Striker Christiano Ronaldo has surpassed Shakira's feet as the most popular figure in the world on Facebook.

The Portuguese superstar recently hit 107 million likes on Facebook, 5000 more than Shakira's figure to take the number one spot from the celebrated songstress.

It’s not only on Facebook where Ronaldo dominates. He’s also the number one followed athlete on Twitter with a total of more than 34 million followers.

Ronaldo's rival Messi has a total of 78 million followers. David Beckham, Kaka, Mesut Ozil, Neymar, Ronaldinho and Andres Iniesta are other superstars in the top 10.
